Coventry Hospital Radio fundraiser at Coventry Market

On Saturday 20th July Coventry Hospital Radio held a sponsored relay DJ event at Coventry Market.

The volunteers from Coventry Hospital Radio hosted a show relay between 10am and 4pm to raise vital funds for the purchase of new equipment.

Teams of presenters hosted one-hour slots throughout the day playing requests and dedications, chatting to the stall holders and the customers at the market as well as holding a raffle and running a recruitment drive to try and get new volunteers.

A big thank you goes to everyone who donated raffle prizes.

Throughout the day we were approached by really supportive stall holders who were willing to help us by donating prizes for our raffle as well as keeping us supplied with coffee, sweets and ice cream.

And thanks to Duncan Mitchell for doing a melon carving at our stand, The melon being donated by May's Veg stall.

and keeping us in sweets and ice cream for the day
