| CHR SHORTLISTED IN TWO CATAGORIES AT THIS YEARS HBA AWARDS 1st January 2017 | ||
 | Coventry Hospital Radio has been
shortlisted in Best Newcomer and Best Male Presentercatagories for this
years National Hospital Radio Awards.
Marta Amado has been shortlisted for Best Newcomer awarded to those who have been in hospital radio for less than two years and going in to the awards for the first time. Dan Sambell has been shortlisted for Best Male Presenter for the second time after being awarded bronze at last years awards. Dan said he was really pleased to be shortlisted for the second year in a row. | |

 | Coventry Hospital Radio's youngest presenter Dan Sambell was awarded with Bronze Award in Best Male Presenter category at this years Hospital Radio award ceremony which was held this year at Watfords Hilton Hotel.
Dan is a very keen volunteer and started volunteering with Coventry Hospital radio 4 years ago at the age of 16. At present he presents a weekly Monday show and has also served on CHR's committee as Proramme Auditor for the past 12 months. | |

CHR Presenter Nigel Stevens had the privilege of going behind the scenes at Coventry City Football Clubs legends day on Saturday 13 February.
It is the ninth Legends Day since the Former Players Association was formed in 2007 and as usual there was a host of stars attending giving Nigel the privilege of chatting to Ernie Hunt, Dave Bennett, Greg Downs, Brian Kilcline (pictured with Nigel), Ian Wallace, Dennis Mortimer and legendary Sky Blues goalkeeper Bill Glazier. | |

 | Coventry Hospital Radio has been shortlisted for an incredible four
awards at this year’s prestigious National Hospital Radio Awards 2016.
The radio station has been nominated for station promotion, best speech package, best male presenter and station of the year 2016. The nominations include a radio programme that followed a hypnotism which has been shortlisted for best use of station promotion. This award recognises excellence in speech-based programming or interviewing skills........... | |

 | The festive season has come round again and Coventry's Lord Mayor Councillor Michael Hammon paid a visit to The Coventry Hospital Radio studios talking to CHR presenter Dan Sambell. | COVENTRY HOSPITAL RADIO LAUNCH LIVE ON THE WEB 8th September 2014 | ||
 | Forty Two years after hitting the
airwaves. Coventry Hospital Radio have now hit the world wide web by
taking its shows online. CHR held a 48 hour live relay broadcast which
started at 16.00 on Friday 5th September 2014 to launch the station onto
the web.
As well as providing a lifeline to
many patients in the wards of Coventry University Hospital, the
volunteers can now let patients' friends and family also tune in.

 | Coventry's Lord Mayor Gary Crookes and his wife the Lady Mayoress Shirley paid a visit to the Coventry Hospital Radio
studios today along with UHCW Chief Executive Officer Andy Hardy for a
chat on air and to wish all the patients a very Happy Christmas. They also thanked all the Coventry Hospital Radio volunteers for all that they do to keep the patients company during their time in hospital. | |
| RIP PETER CLARKE. 2nd October 2013 | ||
 | Everyone at Coventry Hospital Radio was saddened by the death on 2 October 2013 of 29 year old trainee presenter Peter Clarke.
Peter had been a keen volunteer with CHR turning up every week and mixing in with the Wednesday team.
