Coventry Hospital Radio (CHR) broadcasts throughout University Hospital Coventry.
The
station was established in 1972, and is run by a dedicated team of
volunteers.
CHR is
managed by an elected committee and broadcasts to the patients bedside
free of charge on Channel 1 through the
Hospedia bedside units 24 hours a day, 7 days a week .
While
in the hospital, it's easy and free of charge to start listening to
Coventry Hospital Radio, Pick up the phone on the bedside unit, Press
the operator key, when prompted press 3 for free services.Press Orange
Radio button and select channel 1.
Take a look at our programme schedule
and you will find a choice of show which will suit your taste in music. You
can also view the presenters details and put a face to person you are
listening to.
Coventry
Hospital Radio are always on the lookout for volunteers to help with the
running of the radio station, this ranges from visiting the wards to
presenting your own show on Coventry Hospital Radio.
Once
you have become a volunteer at Coventry Hospital Radio full training is provided
to get you on the road towards helping the patients have a pleasant stay
while they are in the hospital.
